Confirmed: Wedgwood family look to save pottery brand

Primary tabs

So it's been confirmed: the Wedgwood family are looking to buy up the Wedgwood brand as it lies in the hands of administrators Deloitte.

Both and the BBC have reported how Thomas R Wedgwood and Thomas D Wedgwood have put together a team to lead the company and keep production in the UK.

Of course, with Clarion and KPS already lined up it will be interesting which bidder has the clout to take on part or the whole group and return the world-famous brands back to profit.

The reports echo coverage in The Times from January 20 about a consortium led by Thomas R Wedgwood to take on the brand.
