Reading: 'post messages and photographs on Facebook'

The Daily Telegraph reports how Ross Ajilo, who is serving a two-and-a-half-year sentence in HMP Hindley in Wigan, Lancs, for attacking an unconscious man, is pictured making a v-sign in an image reportedly uploaded to the social networking website.
Using the alias Raka Mental, Ajilo, 19, is also reported to have posted messages to his personal page.
Given that inmates are unable to access the internet, it is possibly fair to assume that posting to the web using a mobile is like sticking two fingers up to the prison guards too.
Of course, and outright ban is a world of difference to the U.S. This is where convicted killer Dante Cottingham was able to comment on this website after The Sentinel reported how he had found love with mum-of-three Julie Cottingham from Newcastle. (See the comment listed in related articles).
In some sense, you can see that prisoners ought to be stopped from accessing the internet because their crime dictates that they should lose their liberty.
