CSS: or how to make your web pages look a bit better

Primary tabs

It is one thing to create content on the internet, I've found, but quite another to make it look good.

It doesn't matter whether you work in web design, video, words or graphics, it's always the same.

Take the latest video cameras. It is possible now to use the Flip, for example, shoot some video, and with a quick connection to your PC you can get it straight on to the internet for everyone to see in YouTube.

Similarly, there are tools to allow people to quickly create graphics, words and design to build web pages - and even sites - within minutes.

The problem is quality. Take video. Just because you can upload 2 GB of video at a time now on YouTube, does it mean that you should. Of course not. Similarly, Just because you can easily create pages and pages of HTML doesn't mean that a bit of editing and design to make it better readable should not be used.

Hence this section.

I'm currently working my way through CSS: The Missing Manual by David Sawyer McFarland, as well as picking up bits from various blogs that I can find. I want to use this section for my own reference as much as anything. But please feel free see how I'm getting on, or help me along.
