Flash problems: resolved with a little help from Senocular

Flash problems: resolved.

I remember some advice that if you can't work out a problem by thinking and thinking about, try sleeping on it. And it's worked - in a way.

I posted yesterday my frustration about some actionscript that I wanted to use in developing an interactive map, although the code kept returning errors.

Answer: a quick post to Actionscript.org allowed me to explain my problem.

Within an hour, I had a first answer from Flash guru Senocular. He then asked some more questions which I answered before I went to bed.

The following morning: hey presto, problem solved. Just use the e.currentTarget identifier.

Admittedly, for anyone with a workable knowledge of Actionscript, it's not rocket science, but it's a good step forward for someone who is still struggling to get time to use Actionscript 3.0 every day.

Now I can charge on to the next problem, safe in the knowledge that forums such as Actionscript.org, Flashkit and Gotoandlearn forums will be able to save me from days of gnashing teeth.
