Hitwise Intelligence: Celeb and entertainment searches dominate Google News: Not really a surprise, but still it's worth noting what sells the next time you want to write a hard-hitting story that's taken a week to research. Does that mean that people no longer have an appetite for solid, researched, objective journalism. No, not in my view, but it does need to be targeted in the right way to sell it to the best audience.
Reading: Is the FT’s Newsroom 2009 the silver bullet?: The FT has made much of the way it is streamlining its newsroom to follow more of a web-first approach. It's worrying, but it appears to be the way things are going.

Reading: Yeah Yeah Yeahs: It's Blitz (2009): Reviews: Sounds like Karen O and the boys have gone back to Blondie for inspiration with their latest album - and apparently it's the best yet. Given that Atomic by Blondie is in my top five all-time singles, along with I Feel Love by Donna Summer, then this must be on my list to buy.
