Twitter: good, bad or indifferent? Reports in the Daily Telegraph and the Mail on Sunday focus on the trivial elements that you get from a Twitter stream.

Their reports have sparked the ongoing debate about whether Twitter is actually useful. Blogger Neville Hobson reckons the established media haven't cottoned on to the power of the medium.

And while he is right to an extent, I'm not sure fully convinced with Twitter, if only because I've not found the best way to surf the continual stream of comments

I can certainly see that a Twitter can deliver breaking news fast, but you often have to trawl dozens of trivial twits to get to it.

That said, relevance is the technological challenge which media organisations including Twitter, Digg, FriendFeed as well as more traditional news organisations are trying to deal with.
